Welcome to SEADEVCON 2019
The SEADEVCON brings together maritime entrepreneurs, ship owners, ship and port operators, software and hardware developers, shipping and climate experts, human rights and environmental activists, NGOs and lateral thinkers, to work together on ideas and sustainable solutions for emission reduction, for anti-corruption initiatives, and for the protection of human rights in shipping and global trade.
This year we are integrated in:
3 Events on 2 Days of SEADEVCON26. - 27. September 2019
Program 2019
The impact of seaborne trade and tourism on global warming and climate change.
Who is stakeholder, who pays, who delivers – who pollutes – who cleans up?
Shipping is not just for trade – what is the impact of cruise ships and ferries on CO2 emissions?
Wind, hydrogen, electric – what are the ships of the future?
What will a smart and sustainable port in the future look like?
Where will the money flow? Will smart investors at the same time be also sustainable investors in the future?
Climate change is a fact. The causes are clear and well-known. Besides long-term fluctuations, human beings are mainly responsible. „Business as usual“ is no longer an option as intergenerational fairness demands actions now. Society has beginning to recognize we are all under threat of extinction. But are the cards really being reshuffled?

A fully-packed week at Hamburg has come to an end with some inspiring exchange of thoughts and ideas at HSBA Hamburg School of Business Administration on Friday during AIS SUMMIT/SEADEVCON ’18.
Nice events. I enjoyed the talks and the energy.
I have rarely attended an event in which I had so many exciting conversations as here. Thank you, Carsten, and your crew, very well done!
Enjoyed having had so many positive talks, inspiring presentations and beers at this conference.
Thanks to the Team in Hamburg, very much appreciated.
Well done! Seadevcon, AIS Summit and the Maritime Hackathon were great events with really good talks and presentations. Thanks for all your efforts and kudos to your team!
It was a pleasure and honour to be „part of it“ as one of the panel speakers. Congrats to a very interesting and well-organized event with a lot of new impressions and thoughts.
A really thought-provoking event. We would be more than eager to join again in subsequent years -the right mixture of substance, aspirations and open dialogue
Seadevcon 2019 was a successful and inspiring event where I was invited to do a pitch about „Sea Machines“ latest technological innovations in Autonomous and Advanced steering Technology.
It was a splendid, direct attempt to resolve modern maritime challenges and not shying away from hard truths and avoided sugar coating problems.
A conference with seriousness on climate change!
Thankful for a lot of exciting meetings, people and discussions at SEADEVCON. What extremely inspiring presentations from arvedfuchs, Sandra Ness, Cornelius Bockermann, Arnaud Boehmann and so many more we have seen!
